Ropa vieja or shredded beef in tomato sauce

This is from me playing with and combining recipes I found online. I don’t measure.

Flank steak
1 can Goya tomato sauce
1 head peeled and crush of garlic
2-3 bay leaves
Green bell pepper
1-2 ts of Lemon juice-
1-2 onions
Salt and pepper to taste

Boil flank steak with a bit of onion, green pepper, garlic, salt and bay leaves…
Cook until done.
Cool
Shredded it….
Drain most of the broth,(keep it to make a soup)
Add tomato sauce, more garlic, lemon juice, more onion, the used bay leaves or new ones, more green pepper ….
Cook slowly for an hour or more…. Basically you are stewing the neat in the mixture…
Salt and pepper to taste
