I started off with the above recipe…. Subbed vanilla almond milk for the evaporated milk, added 1 extra egg yolk and a tsp of ground cinnamon…..

Cooked on stove in a pot until warm (stirred constantly) then poured warm custard mixture in my pan on top of the caramelized sugar and set to back at 350 for 30mins…. Did not put in water bath….
Cooked it for total of 40 mins….
Slightly over cooked the flan, so it was grainy on the edges… And when I caramelized the sugar I accidentally burnt it!
Mega failure!!!!!
The middle came out ok though….
